Does my jaw have to grow fully before i get braces?

i'm twelve and my teeth are REALLY wonky so i asked my parents i could have braces and they said when my jaw has fully grown my teeth will get straight but i think my teeth are horrible and these teeth look like vampire teeth and some people are starting to call me a vampire what am i going to do?
