How to get birth control pills if your under 18?

I don't know what the laws are in California, because I live in Canada, but I just made a walk in appointment with my doctor and asked him to put me on birth control, simple as that. He gave me 3 sample packs and then a prescription. I'm pretty sure you could probably do the same thing, then go to a pharmacy and pay out of pocket for your BC.
