Yoyo types.. what should I do; which should I get? I'm a beginner?

Get a Duncan erfly or Imperial first to get the feel. (3$-WalMart) then upgrade to the Mosquito (5$) The Mosquito has a spinning axle, but will return on it's own before it stalls completley out. Those should get you to Advanced Beginner and not put you out too much.
