Epic anime?(somthin like fma brotherhood,naruto,Darker than black or canaan NOT bleach & 1piece)?

Try the original FMA, Death Note, Evangelion (truly the definition of an epic anime), Outlaw Star (oldie but a goodie), Kenshin (popular but not to my taste - try the OVA version, Samurai X), Trigun (also popular, but also not my favorite), Angel Sanctuary (good but confusing - read the manga too and it will make more sense), My personal fav (I am a girl, though) is Fushigi Yuugi.
